mvp development
Your idea, built right the first time.
From the first idea to a working proof of concept or MVP. We explore it with you, design it and build it, so you can put the real thing in front of users.
What it is
From idea to a working product.
You have an idea for a digital product. We help you get it right the first time: we explore it with you, find the version with the best chance of success, then design it and build it.
It’s for founders and businesses with an idea for a digital solution, usually a web app: a platform, a portal, or a tool for your customers or your team. We start by exploring the idea with you, and bring our background in product to the question that matters most: which version has the best chance of success?
Then we design it with the same care as everything we make, and build it working, so you can validate the idea with real people instead of a deck or a mockup. A proof of concept shows the idea works; an MVP is a first version people can use for real; and a full system is the whole working product, with a database, sign-in and all the bells and whistles.
When this is the right call
- You want to get it right the first time. Exploring the idea before it’s built costs far less than rebuilding it later.
- You need to raise or get sign-off. Investors and boards respond to something that works. A working version makes the idea concrete in the room.
- You want to test with real users. People respond to a working product very differently from a mockup. The feedback is worth more.
- You don’t have a product team. The ideas, discovery, design and the build come from one team, not four handoffs.
How it works
Four phases, one team.
The ideas, discovery, design and the build, in that order, so what gets built is the version with the best chance of success.
-
Explore the idea
What is it, who is it for, and what has to be true for it to work? We explore the idea with you, and the ideas around it, before anything is decided.
-
Discovery
We find the version with the best chance of success: the core job it has to do, the flows that carry it, and what can wait. It ends with a clear plan for what gets built first.
-
Design
Every screen designed with the same care as the rest of our work, so it looks and feels like a real product from the first click, not a template.
-
Build & hand over
Built working, with real screens and real data, and on the larger builds a database and sign-in. AI tools speed the build up, and everything they produce is reviewed by hand. Then it’s live on a link you can share, with a walkthrough at handover.
What's included
What lands in your hands.

What discovery found, what the first version does, and what can wait, written down.

Common questions
FAQ.
How long does it take?
About 8 weeks for a small proof of concept, about 12 weeks for an MVP, and 12 weeks or more for a full system. That covers the whole journey, from the first ideas to the build.
What’s the difference between a proof of concept and an MVP?
A proof of concept shows the idea works: a small, working version to test with users or show investors. An MVP is a larger first version people can use for real. A full system is the whole working product, with a database, sign-in and all the bells and whistles.
Do you build mobile apps?
Mostly we build web apps, which work on any phone or computer with nothing to install. If your idea truly needs an iOS or Android app, we’ll say so up front.
What do you need from me to start?
The idea, and roughly what it should do. Not a spec. If you have sketches, a deck, or a competitor you’re reacting to, that’s plenty to work from.
What if we only need the design?
Then our app design service is the one: discovery, wireframes, the interface and a clickable prototype, ready for your developers to build.
